While I have my engine out to swap transmissions, I'm doing a few other things (frame rails, ball joints) and thought maybe now is a good time to throw some coilovers on. I'm not looking for a super stiff ride and don't need anything extreme. Just want to lower it a hair and maybe increase the front stiffness just a bit.
Give me some feedback on the brands I see floating around (EMUSA, CXracing, Godspeed, etc.). And what is a desired spring rate that won't be too harsh. Some of the CXracing kits are 12kg / 8kg, and that seems a bit much.
Thanks.

The EMUSA seem legit. If you don't mind me asking, how are you doing your frame rails? I'm looking to patch mine on driver side.

I bought the slip-overs for the front sections. The rest of my rail seems OK, but the front (especially driver side) is in bad shape.

The old Megan Track coils I had were good and moderately priced.

Where did you buy the slip on rails from? Do they work great? I'm looking to re-do the driver's side.

I've heard good things about fortune auto.
I'm in the market myself. I'd like to get some seat time with other people's setups before I commit.

How is going Pappa smurf??

Ive been using fortune auto (normal daily driving over normal roads) for about 6 years, and no failures whatsoever. Very good product and craftsmanship...

Good to see you back, old man!

That's good to hear about the fortune auto. I'm definitely looking for something with a pretty wide range of adjustable damping. I'll leave it loose/soft when I'm not hauling anything in the back of the truck, and turn it up for hauling/track days.
