Yes, but if you get the silicone ones, they definitely last much longer ... as good as new with a simple edge-cleaning with ultra-fine sandpaper!
The ones from Silblade were strong on my wife's car after 4 years - I replaced them some time back, so I will see how long these new ones last!
BTW, I do a periodic regular cleaning of the edge of the blade with a 1000 grit wet sandpaper - just a few wipes and the old vulcanized rubber is removed and fresh material is exposed. Works like a charm ... even on non-silicone stock blades!
My original 2003 M45 blades (stock blades) lasted over 3 years, as I recall, without problems with this cleaning technique. I eventually replaced them because the blade broke at the rubber "hinge" where it flops back and forth (the edge was still perfectly fine due to my procedures). I had to use stock again, since I had not bought the Silblade ones for the car at the time the OEM ones broke.
