Basically, you get what you pay for, but if you are mostly stock, you don't really need the high dollar stuff.

I've seen many very reputable sources vouch for OE wires over all the aftermarket stuff, FWIW.

eh, but w/ the SOHC design, most aftermarkets can be had w/out the DOHC design flaws... <popping off from the valve cover>

Plus, me gets lifetime warranty on some of those manufacturers... & most are in 7mm thickness... i guess that 8mm Accel's or some other 'high performance' brand will make it that much easier for the spark to travel to your plugs...

OEM is seriously what you want. all the high power KA guys use them, the work perfectly.

and what DOHC design flaws do you speak of? my wires never pop off, Nologys with NGKs.

oh, someone bought aftermarket wires for a DOHC as well as aftermarket plugs... it was one or the other that was causing it to pop off...the boot wasnt holdin tightly to the spark plug end. Can't recall if it was the boot's clamp problem or the spark plug end's problem...

But OEMs the way to go if u gotz $

yeah, NGK is good quality, but i would still recommend OEM wires. i only have damn $175 spark plug wires because i didnt have any, and i got them for $20. went from borrowed autozone specials, to nologys and noticed no differance at all, defenitly not worth $175.

Like they said before, if you aren't running a boosted 240....its really not worth it to buy nologys or expensive maganor. There is a set called Aurora 8.5mm from http://www.pdm-racing.com for a reasonable price. My friend has these on his 95 and they are great. Im ordering up a set today.

Guys are making some *serious* power on turbo set-ups with OE wires. I still say, go with OE. Just my opinion.
