Going in a 98 Nissan Frontier. I want it to sound as good as possible, while not breaking the bank. Lets say, $79 a pair, maybe going to $99, but I would like to keep it as low cost as possible. Search returned nothing, as usual, and I know some of you guys know some deals on great speakers.

I picked up a set of these on eBay from Infinity's parent company.http://techronics.com/caraudio...72182They were refurbished, but still came with a warranty and were ~$53 shipped. They sound ok, better than most coaxial speakers, but it needs a little crossover work.

There's quite a few options out there if you don't look for brand new products. Things that were produced a couple years ago will be sold as new old stock and clearanced out. Off the top of my head, I don't know of any exact models, but they're out there.

I put together a similar thread about home audio equipment that I update as I come across things. I don't actively search for them, I just stumble upon them.

Well, I appreciate the help. but I just bought a set of Helix Blue 62 MkII components for it. I'm excited, as they should sound really good. I have no idea if my little JVC head unit even has front and rear outputs, but Ive got two amplifiers I plan to hook up to the speakers. A nice ADS 35Wx2 for the tweeters, and an old MTX 60Wx2 for the drivers. I'm not expecting audiophile quality here, but it should sound pretty slick. If I got bass hungry, I could probably shoehorn my Treo SSI 12.22 and my MA Audio 2000w amp in the extended cab area, but I fear it would destroy my new truck in a matter of months.

Its an awesome amp, isn't it?

I blew mine up in high school and rebuilt it myself (mad soldering skillz y0!!) and it has never had an issue since. I was running the poor thing bridged at 2ohm on a 10' sub. I had a car full of bass.
