I just want to go from my current 7psi to 10psi for now. Once I get my new injectors and SAFC, 14psi will happen, but for now I just want another 3 psi. Are the TurboSmart and TurboXS ones really worth the extra $? What should I look for? Here are some of the ones I am looking at on eBay:

And here is a TurboXS HP unit:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

Um...thanks. But to be honest, I can't give a rats behind about how the knob looks. All I care about is if the thing does its job.

So abck to my question: Anyone know about MBCs? Which style is best?

all manuals do basically the same thing. Get whichever one you want. You could also use carb jets in the actuator hose or a compressor air control valve to do the same thing.

I like my old Trust VVC, that is basically the only thing I have ever used.

Well, the harbor freight units are not accurate at low PSI. I found out when I bought one of their Air Conditioning freon manifolds. A smaller unit is worth a few extra dollars just to make sure you dont blow anything from overboosting...

Know a guy with 400hp at the rears using one at 23 psi, and it holds so well

I know of many who blew their motors with top of the line boost controllers but no sense. I will caution that manual boost controllers do spike so I always set them on long steady pulls at least .05-.10 lower than I want. With the greddy unit I can feel the clicks in the knob and dial it down for the launch and after the 1-2 shift give it about two clicks up to a little bit higher boost.

Well, the idea was to get something cheap until I actually have a fuel system and turbo ready for more boost. The Joe P ones look nice, and the Hallman can come with a cockpit extension...but at more than $30 over the cost of the HKS VBC. Decesions, decesions...thanks for the input guys!!!
