Hi guys. I've been driving around my s13 with a fresh redtop swap. It pulls pretty strong even with only 7 psi. I'm using the Greddy Type RS bov which works and sounds great. Only problem is its not recirculated; wants to bog at idle, runs so rich its turing my bumper black, backfire pops, and I think it's quickly fouling some plugs. I know Greddy makes an adapter to connect a hose for re-circulation for these bov's, but I can't find anybody who sells them. Will the adapters for the Type R and Type S fit the Type RS? Thanks.

A quick call to Greddy would answer that.

No they make one specifically for the type rs and you can get it in different hose sizes.

im using the type rs too,i had to make mine real tight, but not too tight,so the idle stays perfect and theres no compressor surge.u just gotta find the median.but i did find the recirc fittings if ur interested.

Yes! I am VERY interested. Thanks for the link man. I counldn't find anybody online who sold these things for the Type RS. Did you reroute your's back into the stock location on the stock SR intake tube? If so, what size adapter and what size/ kind of hose did you use? This is the only thing left that I really need to get for the car.

Oh sorry man. I thought you had bought and used one. Thanks for the info though. I'm a little war about turn up the pressure on the bov. The car holds boost the way it is and definitely don't want any compressor surge.

I have an rs on my car. You dont have to recirculate it if you tighten it up. Like the last guy said, you gotta find that happy medium. If you set it to where it is very very loose then youre gonna have alot of bogging when you drop the rpms. I set mine a little over half way down and it blows off fine and I dont have a problem with bogging. It may bounce rarely, but it doesnt go dead or run stupid rich.

dont be afraid to tighten it up a hair to deal with that idle dropping problem....also you will hear more surge at idle cause there is LESS vaccuum when you rev and let drop then compared to driving...cause when you drive your engine "pulls" in air when you decelerate due to higher RPM's and the throttle is shut....

All right, you guys sold me. I'll try tighting it up a bit. I'm still gonna recirculate it though. Thats really the way it should be and its only a $12 part. Thats nothing compared to the cost of everything else for the car.
