In regards to recirculating A BOV back into the intake behind the MAF, is it better to recirculate with a BOV on the hot pipe or better to run a longer hose and recirculate it from the other side?

i;m not sure that part of the setup matters as much. i think the question you should be asking is, is it better to put the blow off on the hot or cold pipe? you will get mixed answers on that one.

but i could be wrong.;)

Accually it seems you are refering to alot of VW turbo motors where you HAVE to recurculate the blowoff valve, thats why if you here a blow off valve on a GTI 1.8 turbo the blow off valve chirps in pulses and the sound accually comes out of the intake. If you try to run it otherwise then the boost pressure just drops and drops. But for our nissans bro, u dont have to do that. My buddy has a 12 second GTI 1.8 turbo and he has a greddy BOV, i think it sounds bad *** when you let up off the gas, its like 5 hard hitting chirps, definatly turns heads :ylsuper

I've already read past posts about that but thanks. I know where I want to mount my BOV I just want to know if there were any pros/cons on recirc. from either hot or cold pipe.

i really don't think so. just as long as it's not all too close together (relieving the pressure and then putting it right back where it came from)

but i honestly don't know

mount the blowoff as close to the throttlebody as possible.

Ya that was my plan, I just wanted to make sure that it is ok to recirculate the air all the way across to the intake seeing as it would require quite a longer hose to do so than it would be to recirculate it from the hot pipe.

Also what is a good way to set up the hose back into the intake? Is the intake behind the MAF not made of plastic? What is a good way to connect the hose into the plastic so it is sealed good and doesn't leak?
