recirculating BOV couple questions, searched

So i want to recirculate my BOV because i here the car runs better, couple questions though. So from what i had read you run the circulated air to somewhere before the compressor.. wouldn't this somewhat be the same thing as not recirculating it because the motor is still not getting all the air metered from the MAF if it just dumps it right before the MAF to be read again.. just wondering. I like to get an understanding of how things work instead of just doing it and hoping for the best. thanks

Have the BOV return tube go back to the intake, but after the MAF. So all the air is accounted for.
