This may seem like a noobish question (i did search, trust me) but just try to show me a little mercy. How exactly would you go about recirculating a bov? Does the car really bog down and run rich during shifts because the mafs is re-reading the blown off air under the hood? I am looking into buying an sr'd 240 off my friend (real cheap) but the bov (ARC) is vented to the atmosphere. It runs okay though but id like to recirculate it. I have wikipediaed the topic too so im kinda stumped. Pics would be very helpful too. Thanks.

Just run a hose from the bov to the pipe in between the maf and the turbo. If the car is running good why mess with it? let see some good pics of the engine bay so we could better help you.

Recirculateing blowoff will take air from the intercooler piping and vent it between the MAF and the turbo itself. This keeps the MAF from "rereading" and also helps keep the turbo spooled between gears.

Goodlord Sabot you beat me by a few seconds! lol

Does the hose actually run from a piece or valve on the bov or is it in the piping before the bov? Do you have to "custom fab" a fitting on the piping after the mafs to fit the hose or is there already a place? here is the only pic i got. If you need a better one, i can snap a few off tomorrow and post em' up. Maybe some one can point out what you guys are talking about using ms paint or something.

Thanks for the quick responses!

straight from the bov to the pipe after the maf. Can't see the pipe too good but if the pipe don't have a fitting take it and get one welded.

Thank you very much for the help. One last thing though, if there is no fitting for the hose there, can it go across onto the piping going into the intake manifold? Thanks again man, very helpful. ive been trying to figure this out for hours.

Could this possibly cause the car to stall when the rpms are dropping off from boost when the car is coming to a roll or stop? Is this also what makes it run rich in between shifts? Cause that is what his car is doing. I wana make sure i at least have an idea of where to start when takling these isues.

stall? yes it could be, usually it is. You could fix it by rec. the bov or a SAFC2 could fix it too like what I'm doing. The rich part in between shifts I think is normal too. How you know? wideband?

How do I know it's running rich? Puffs of back smoke when shifting or letting off the gas when the car is in boost. Im assuming that this means it's running rich.
