ok so im sick of having my back fir ( i know some of it has to do with my test pipe. but every gear....its getting annoying. plus the stall outs i have when coming to a stop. soooo my ? is i what fitting should i get. i have the greddy type rs and they make 4 fittings. i dont have a hole in my intake for this so im going to end up tapping one in. i plan on just buying 2 of the same size and putting one on the intake and one on the bov. but which size to get is the ?????!?!?!?

is bigger better in this situation

Do you think you can tap your intake, and get a hose/pipe to recirc it in ALL those sizes?

How about a blow-through setup instead? That's what I plan on doing. I'm a ricer when it comes to the bov sound lol.

well yea i mean im just going to get 2 of the exact same size, put one on the bov and tap the other on the intake and run a hose to connect them to each other. but im not sure on which size to pick...

Always wondered, anyone know how a maf will hold up to charged air in the long run?

yes ur right i could do this but i really dont want. i do love the sound of my bov but i read before that you can still hear it. plus a guy on the forums (IAN) mentioned that running a blow thorugh dirtys your mafs like mofo and you end up having to clean it once a month. which doesnt bother me either but im sure it would end up being an annoyance plus i then have to fab my cold pipe

claw i didnt think of that either with the blow through. that your going to have more forced air going throught the mafs. it would suck to have one of the screens break loose or the sensor somehow make its way through the motor

I personally feel blow through is a bad idea. Presureized piping with a sensor in it.... not so bueno. At least when its before the turbo its not pressureized, its just air flowing buy it.

I would just get whatever size you want. Im sure the size wont totally effect it.

And btw, you can still hear your bov recirced so dont worry bout that.

Another option is to run an safc??? My buddy had his bov vented and ran great but was tuned with an safc. My car on the other hand is not tuned and is recriced. I tried open once and it died out whenever you would let up off the gas.

I run recirc and I can hear it when it opens.

Bored kids with their head out their parent's SUV stare at my car weird when the BOV opens, so I'm guessing people outside can hear it too.

I'm guessing running a bigger one would be better, so your air doesn't get backed up and cause BOV flutter, which I heard is not good for the turbo.

I would think the only reason why the size of the fitting would matter would be to determine the diameter of hose/line you'll be running. Maybe different BOV's require a different diameter hose/line to fit into the recirculating "area."

Depends on the nipple that you're working with. So you setup doesn't go from 1.25" > 1.125" > 1" like mine does. Stupid different nipple sizes.

well see thats the thing i have no nipple on my intake. so i have to put one on there so should i just get 2 of the 34mm fittings and put the one on the bov and drill a hole in my intake and put the other there. the more air that is recirculated the better right??

I don't think it's about more air being recirculated and more a case of more air able to be recirc'd...and faster? I run 18 pounds, I don't know about that 19mm nipple...? I don't know what I'm talking about though, just theory. Just get two of the big ones.

If sound is an issue (and I'm sure it is), then I recommend you upgrade your intake pipe to aluminum piping and throw the plastic crap away. I got the following intake pipe from pipingpro and had a BOV recirculation bung welded on for $10 bucks more. They had 2 sizes; 1 in and 1.25 in. I got the latter.

http://pipingpro.com/shop/sr20...f662d

This means you would need the 32mm BOV recirculation adapter. Also, 32mm radiator hoses are readily available pretty much everywhere. I went through autozone's hoses for no more than 10 minutes before I found the perfect size and curvature. Hope that helps.

ehh sound is not a big issue. it was when i first did the swap but now its whatever. but i was told u can still here it. just not as loud and supposibly it sounds better? but no i have an aluminum intake pipe its a custom one i made from my injen intake from my ka so it has no recirculation fitting. but thank you nacho.

another ? when i tap the fitting into my intake do i want it closer to the mafs or the turbo or doesnt it matter

Doesn't matter, just between the two.

FWIW I have an HKS BOV and it recirculates through a dishwasher drain hose (sold by the foot at Lowe's or Home Depot). Between the whistle of the HKS and the ribbed tubing (to make a 180* loop) it sounds like doctor zoidberg, and through all boost levels is loud as hell. Not till double digits does it start to sound like zoidberg, but that's the best way I can describe it.

I don't care about sound at all, I recirculated mine for performance reasons, and I was not let down. Throttle response after shifting and such when recirculated...crazy compared when I was atmospheric.
