Well, for the M, even you manually turn off the A/C, it will switch back to outside air mode (instead of recirculation) - it seems that you can not choose recirculation mode without turning on the A/C. I would not mind turn off the A/C manually, but it will force the A/C on if you want to use the recirculation mode.palincal wrote:No such option. You have to manually turn off the A/C when you hit recirculate. Most cars behave the same way as the intention is to reduce the humidity inside the car generated by our breathing.
The A/C will still remain on.antzrus wrote:How about turning the temperature up past the ambient outside temp?
Exactly. Why would they allow override - Infiniti is trying to control usrsg123 wrote:When it's 70 degrees outside and you live in a very dry climate like me, there's no risk of windows getting fogged up. Even if the feature exists to override any human stupidity, why not have the A/C turn on automatically but be able to override it and still stay in recirculate mode? Oh well, I guess I will just have to live with this quirk.
Depends on how long you leave it on recirculate.....it will fog up eventually. Unless you are breathing through a snorkel vented outside the car.rsg123 wrote:When it's 70 degrees outside and you live in a very dry climate like me, there's no risk of windows getting fogged up.
Every cloud has a silver lining.Double E wrote:I do like that the hvac system does not revert back to fresh with each time you start the car if it was turned off while in recirc mode. MANY other cars default to fresh every time no matter what.
This is true-but you won't be spewing out cold air if you keep it right @ the ambient or slightly above temp. I thought cold air was the problem. I guess this issue has more to do w/mileage than temperature regulation; AC on does use more fuel. But then these machines are gaz guzzlers @ birth!!rsg123 wrote:
