So goin down the interstate the other day I find that my radiator has a crack in the cheap plastic endtank near the top neck. so I throw some jb kwick on it when i get home, and its holding for now but I am now thinking of a koyo unit.

here's my problem, My hot side runs kinda between/kinda above the stock radiator and engine (rb20). Im on the r32 mount so there isnt much space already. I was wondering, If I could cut out some of the support in order to recess the koyo unit, or if I could find a different sized koyo rad like the ka one but smaller to recess?

Yes, it is possible. I cut out a portion of the upper rad support and slotted the lower mounting holes to move the Koyo forward so I could squeeze in some FAL fans as pullers.

I refabbed a new lower radiator support and notched out the upper portion. I was able to push my koyo radiator with fal pullers in about 2 inches. I have about an inch or more clearance now from fans to pulley.

Previously I had only notched the upper support and leaned the radiator, but I had maybe 5mm of clearance from fan to pulley(not safe).

imo i should have sold the crappy unnecessarily thick koyo and bought a thinner dual pass griffin or c&r radiator...
