Recently I replaced the rear driver bearing. The install went great, but I accidently reinstalled it with the old nut. I didn't realize til a few days after that the new nut was still in the box and I forgot that it needed to be installed instead. I did tighten the nut to the specd 177 lb f though. I'm wondering if it's still worth replacing with the new one? I'm also concerned if I need to replace the bearing again to reseat it properly, since the manual says to not reuse the bearing as well. Does this mean I have to also replace the bearing if I take the axle nut off again to replace with the new one?

Nissan says "no reuse" for a lot of parts which you can reuse without issues. That applies to other OEM's too, not just Nissan, and it's mostly for warranty purposes. If the old nut had clean threads and it took proper torque, leave it alone, it's fine.

Thanks for the response! I'll leave it and save the nut for the other bearing when I replace it soon. Front bearings went out early according to carfax service history and with one rear one out at 70k miles, the other will prob go soon too. Good thing it's stupidly dry in AZ so all the hardware was clean and rust free
