Recently acquired a 1991 s13 in bad shape any ideas

got a brand new 1991 240sx with a ka24de. i want to build a daily driver thats race ready!!!!!!!!! any ideas will be helpfull. thanks im new here by the way.....

I think im set on rebuilding the ka with a bigger cam and upgraded valve train, also thought about redoing the fuel delivery system. i plan on running it na until i can afford a turbo kit. right now my major concerns are finding a wiring harness and and brakes

The canvas is endless. As there are a wide range of aftermarket parts for these vehicles. First thing I would do is fix what is mechanically wrong with it if anything. Do proper maintenance. Maybe change waterpump and thermostat for s and g. Since these cars are notorious for cooling issues. Assuming your staying ka24de. You may want to buy a bigger radiator. Deal with cooling first. Then probably suspension issues since it's an old car most the time the Front tension rods are gone. Make sure the frame rails aren't rusted through. If they are make some cardboard templates and weld in some thick steel. Just because the insurance companies rate these things as sports cars they aren't fast stock. Don't plan on going fast without throwing major money at the car.

before i saw the pics i was thinkin you should go ka-t, they are good for dd and definately race ready... maybe you could piece together a ka or buy another one and turbo it, as you can tell im a ka guy

i got it from a guy i use to work with for a hundred bucks lol. but i was leaning towards a ka seeing as they are the most readily available unless some one wants to give me a good deal on a sr r a rb lol. but i guess the major q right now is sr r ka and turbo r na??????
