I didnt find it terribly offensive, but feel like my 2015 hits the right buttons for ME. The 3 big complaints were acceleration, coarse drive train, and prices. I dont have those issues at all, unless you leave it in the ECO mode and yes, then it is sluggish- at least in initial take off. But mine drives/shifts seemlessly and the MPG has been spot on to the prediction. I also got a KILLER deal on mine w/ 9500 miles, so the price was way lower than ANY other I looked at.

Not the best review on the planet. I found it odd that all of their charts compared the as tested Rogue S with top trim models of competitors. Seems like an odd decision there to say the least.

The Rogue gets a bad rap mainly due to the CVT and the engine. The acceleration on my car is acceptable but by no means great. I can live with it in my daily driving though since I'm usually fighting through ridiculous NYC traffic anyways. If Nissan would only pull the trigger on building a new engine for the Rogue, such as what Honda did with the latest CR-V, then they'd be able to shake some of the bad rap. Hopefully the current 2.5L engine won't survive in the 2020 next-gen Rogue.

As far as the engine goes, as long as its reliable and gets the MPG it does, I'm very satisfied.
