honestly dont know what its coming from but when im driving (my 94 hardbody 4x4), at low speeds it will squeal, quite loud and its quite constant. it sounds like its from the front end, possibly brakes, but i have no clue. again, its at low speeds (around 20mph) and lasts quite awhile.. but it comes and goes

it doesnt start squealing right away after being parked, takes a mile or two to start

anyway, i just had an entire new front end installed. axles, tie rods, lower ball joints, repacked bearings and new grease seals, and new brake pads, and some other stuff.

that was all installed professionally last saturday, last tuesday it started squealing. i took it in there again today to have them look it over. (my parents grew up with the manager, its a localized shop that does great work) A mechanic drove it around for a while to see if he could hear the squeal.. he heard nothing. however he did pinpoint a sound that was probably my alternator over working due to corrodied wires, so he fixed that, two heat shields, and re-aligned my exhuast a little.

so now im sitting here trying to think what i could possibly be and am quite pissed becuase its loud. could it be just something breaking in? possibly the fact that i have new pads but not new rotors? i am absolutly clueless

any help would be excellent

only moving parts will make sounds.

have you checked the belts?

brake pads, rotors, etc.

rev your motor to rpm which it makes sound at while you are driving. if it still makes noises while stationary, then its the belts.

Diffinitly try to figure out if the noise is speed related while moving. Or rpm related.

99% certain its a speed related problemit doesnt make the sound when rev'd while parked

Then you gotta look in the wheel area. See if the rotor backing plate is rubbing one of the rotors.
