My low tire pressure light has been on ever since I got my car 3 weeks ago. It was on when I drove it off the lot. I assumed it was due to the way dealers lower tire pressure so that the cars you test drive have a softer ride. I checked the tire pressure on my tires and it was about 32-33 psi on all the tires, which is what it recomends on the inside of the driver's door. Well, today, I went and maxed out the tire pressure at 44 psi on all 4 tires and now the low tire pressure light is off. What tire pressure does the light come on for?

Also, I tried adding entries into the phone book on the hands free feature in the car. When ever it got the the point where I was to send the number to the car, my phone would disconnect from the car and I couldn't send any numbers to the car. Has anyone else had difficulties or sucess with sending your phone numbers via blue tooth to the car?

Thanks

Jason

The pressure light usually goes off around 35 psi.

Not all phones are even able to add your numbers to the car, either...

in re: the bluetooth

I don't think that the V is set up to accept number in this way at all. My understanding is that the phone book of the V has to be set up through the voice system, one number at a time, and that it does not connect to the phone itself as anything more than a basic earpiece would.

You are correct. The car does not use the phone's phonebook but each number has to be entered individually through voice. It's all in the car's user's manual. Doesn't anybody read these things anymore?

When you inflated the tires, it reset the TPMS system. You should deflate your tires to the factory suggested setting (34 psi?)

If the system comes on again, pay attention to it.

If it flashes for one minute when you start the car, then stays on solid, you have a SYSTEM FAILURE. You will need to take it in for service. System failures occur usually when a wheel sensor has failed, but in earlier Versas it also means the BCM is screwed up.

If it comes on solid while you are driving, it is reading a pressure drop or low pressure. If you check the tires and they're fine, then you have a bad sensor.
