Nice.

Where did you mount the MAF?

What are you using for management?

Did you build the intake mani? Looks sweet.

maf is right between the upper cold pipe and the lower cold pipe. 12 psi ~ 300whp. and yes i built the manifold. 7200 rpm and still builds power with stock valvetrain

Are you venting the BOV?

IF recirc, can you please explain how you have it plumbed in.

Are there any other advantages to running blow-through MAF besides throttle response? I've heard that it cuts down the life of the MAF sensor, but now that I don't drive the 240 everyday I'm really less worried about that.

well in my case I had to go blow-through to run the vented bov. with the suck through setup, my car stalled cuz the metered air would leak out the bov when slamming the tb shut after boost. I heard the mafs does get worn, but i heard of guys driving for a few years on end w/ a blow thru system..idk, i've had both setups and the blow thru just run 10x better in my case..if my mafs gets shot, then i'll buy another for 150 that'll probably last at least a year and a half

I haven't been on the KAT section for long, but the first thing that came to my mind was blow-thru thing. Amazing. I can read people's mind and pictures. :D

Thanks for you answer man.

Just one more thing, the only difference between using a blow-through setup is the location of the MAF right? I assume that no ECU changes or anything are needed since it's still getting a good reading, but rather it just makes it easier to have a atomspheric BOV? I'd like to run my HKS SSQV that way for the noise, acutally...

yep that's the only difference..just make sure the bov is before the mafs and usually, the mafs is located right before the tbso, it can go turbo, oa bov, mafs then tb..let me tell you though, that you will probably spit out black smoke when your bov opens to let the compressed air out (not sure why this is with a blow-thru as my car doesn't stall), I heard that some safc's can eliminate this with a setting but w/ my re-burned ecu, i puff black smoke in between shifts..: ( but the sound is the sex man!

Well, I wouldn't mind the smoke so much nor the noise since I'm not driving my 240 daily.

I have my BOV on the hotpipe so thats not a problem it seems.

When I get around to it this winter or maybe in the spring I'll cut a chunk out of my cold pipe just before the TB and get a couple couplers or whatever and throw the MAFS there.

thanks, my ECU did need some tweaking from 4000 rpms-7500rpms due to the afr's being 11.8-12.5 and my idle needed work from 0* to 130* coolant temp. other than that it works great! the turbo is way louder now. not that i can really hear it over a 38mm tial screaming under my feet
