Recent calls list quirk?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Thought I was going mad here, but tried it a few times with the same results.

I wanted to call someone whom I had called recently from my car, so pulled up the recently dialled numbers list. Their number isn't in my address book on my car, so I expected for it to just list their phone #. Where their number should have been was blank. That's weird I thought, as I pulled up to a red light. I looked at it again to cancel out, and it was suddenly there. Weirder. Light green, started driving, hit a couple mph and it disappeared again.

The recently dialled list had 5 entries. 2 from my address book, and their name showed up on the list whether the car was stopped or moving. The other 3 were just numbers, which only showed up when the car was stopped. As soon as the car moves, they disappear.

Anyone else noticed this? It's truly bizarre.

Either a. its a software glitch; orb. it was designed that way...but what possible reason would they have for adding that 'feature'???

Now that is a great original post. Perfectly descriptive and easy to replicate as a test we can all perform.

I have a feeling it is mainly a pseudo safety feature, or just an interesting hole you stumbled upon. I think the recent calls list is limited or N/A while driving so some spill over of restricted functions is not surprising.

I am sure someone else here can test this out just to see if it is normal, as I highly suspect it might be.
