im looking for a single sub setup for this amp. i already had 2 orion h2's and blew em both, so that is not an option. i was thinking about that kicker solobaric l7 15", but give me your opinions.

I hate to ask questions, but how much space do you have (box volume)? And what's your goal?

the box can be any size, but i want it to face straight up in my hatch. my goal is maximum reliable spl with this amp, without spending a fortune. ill consider all ideas, but i think i just want one sub.

reliable spl:) thats a contradiction if i've ever heard one lol. just kidding. for a good reliable sub to handle that amp your looking to spend around 350 or more for something brand new in the box. afew brands that pop in my head are concept audio, treo, digital designs, the old sound stream stuff. termpro.com has a good forum with abunch of classifieds for competition subs. oh and whenever you do get something i have a nice box building program so i might be able to whip you up the right dimensions for a box that'll fit in your hatch and be the perfect size for the sub.

i dunno about the hifonics brutus in terms of reliability... most reliable & consistent amp i have ever seen is a pheonix gold titanium series amp. believe it was 1000W rms or so @2 ohms? maybe 1ohm, not sure... but at a local car audio shop some guys stole the show with a 3 minute deathmatch score averaging 151.1db throughout the entire time. this same team also won every other competition they entered with the same amp... of course it helped that they were runnin a single 15" PG titanium sub in a horn loaded enclosure, rediculously loud!! haha i'm a dork

but if you want something that will be reliable as hell, and put out good spl numbers, check out adire brahmas 15", beefy motor structure, big magnet, & fat surround. go to: http://www.adireaudio.com/
