Hello everyone,I'm new here and I have a question about a Recaro SR seat that I have. I know this seat is a JDM seat and I think it is from a Silvia. I was wondering if anyone knew what year Silvia it is from, if indeed it is from a Silvia, and what US spec cars it will fit, ie what year 240sx? I can post a picture if needed.

Here is a pic, please ignore the house, I think the seat is worth more than the house It looks like a Recaro SR-III seat. This one is a JDM passenger side.

I've found a couple threads through google searches:http://silviansw.com/forum/vie...52e1bh ... .htmlSeems like this seat will fit in any Silvia. Does that mean that it will also fit into any 240sx?

yeah, seats themselves are pretty much universal. you just have to find/make brackets to bolt them into the car.

You are misunderstanding what I am saying. I realize that seat bases and brackets can be changed, what I am saying is that this seat is out of a Silvia and therefore fits straight into one and I am asking if a Silvia seat bracket will bolt into a 240sx without any modification and if so then what model year 240's will this seat bolt into? I am also asking which specific Silvia this is out? As per my searching and the info from the guy I bought it from, this seat is out of a Silvia so it is genuine JDM SR-3 Recaro, I just don't know which Silvia, S13 S14 etc, or if this seat fits directly into any american equivalent.

oh, sorry.

well, i know that all s13, s14, and s15 seats bolt straight into the others, so im assuming all the brakcets are the same. therefore, anything that previously fit into one silvia will fit into all the others. unless the chassis before was modified, in which case it wont fit into any of them.

but yeah, most likely it will fit into any s-chassis you can find.

Actually, the Recaro SR seat is the same seat used in the E30 M3 Sport Evo (Evo 3) which is why I bought it. My M3 is going to be a racecar and doesn't really need a reclinable seat for the passenger as most of the time I'll be the only one in the car. I was actually hoping to trade this seat for 2 matching fixed back racing seats like Sparco, Corbeau or Momo etc. One of my posts, the one with the links, showed one of these seats selling for $500 or $600 and someone in the thread posted about how good of a deal that was, so I assume that I would be able to get that much for the seat if I wanted to sell it outright. As of right now I'd rather trade, so anyone in Socal with 2 fixed back seats they want to trade let me know. Seats need to be black, or mostly black.

Thanks dude. I figure a trade would be beneficial for both parties involved.
