Hey. Don't know if you all read the other thread that I wrote about 2 weeks ago. But I had just asked which would have the edge in the 1/4 mile. My 91 Silvia vs. my friends 94 z 28 automatic.

Well, I "had" to take my car to work in order to race him. He was too big of a chicken chit to come to my house. Anyways. We made a couple of runs at it. First run it was neck and neck until i missed 3rd and he pulled away after that (left hand shifting kinda sux). The second run I beat him by 1/2 - 3/4 car length at the quarter mile mark. Very good race. We kept on going after the quarter and he started to pull away when i hit 180 km./hr. And he kept on pulling away after that. My car's computer must deprive it of the wonderful juice it needs at 200 km/hr or so. But anyways. Thought i would post the results.

I don't think he's raced much though. He did one hell of a burn out both times, and i did a semi burn out and let off the gas to get traction. When I clutched into 3rd we where dead even. But after the whoosh sound of the turbo it was all over. I could here him laughing cuz he thought that he was going to pull away after that. Have to see what he says tomorrow at work.. He was telling everyone he was going to kick some rice burner ***. ahahha.. I think I gained some respect. later

yes it is a real jdm silvia. it has the sr20det from the K's model. The swap was done in japan. But you guys are right. The K's are the more desireable model. They came standard with the turbo. But hey. It is a silvia and it has the sr20det in it and an LSD. I'm not sure if that was a swap either because some Q's came from the factory with the lsd.

As far as models go. The J's are the base model w/no options such as power windows, mirrors etc. The Q's are a step up with power mirrors, windows, etc. The K's of course came standard with the det and power everything, options of sun roof etc. and i think they have bigger brakes too. not sure on that.

I believe the J's and Q's came with a RWD version of the SR20DE right?
