Right, we will enjoy it. Along with the much higher resale value, and an engine thats not gonna break down at 70k miles

Higher resale value? cant determine that yet buddy! What happens if in 2010 gas hits $12? Will the v6 have a higher resale value then? It also isnt just the resale value, but rather the percentage return of your initial investment you get back.

Anyways your gonna be lucky if you get to 40k miles on your boosted ride... why? because you live in cali, you are a sailor boy, and you smell like rotting seaweed!

(or i could just be angry you keep getting me in hot water! lol)

the 2.5 has longevity issues? what about 70k?

25mpg ftw! Gassin every light!

I took a trip to Upstate NY this past weekend and setting the cruise between 70 and 80 I was able to hit 475 on a tank. MPG meter was hovering around 25mpg. That was using Sunoco 93 Octane. However, I've gotten extremely horrible gas mileage using Exxon 93...

I avarage around 500 miles per tank daily driving on 93 oct. in my 2.5 . I work 30 mins from where i live and dont baby the car at all. I bought the car to save money on gas and thats exactly what it's been doing. granted if i get into manual shifting and ream the car which i tend to do now and then it dosnt get the 500 per tank but it still gets soemthing like 450 so im not complaining at all. If i want insane crazy rip the car to shreds power ill drive one of the projects. but yea I have no complaints about the way the 2.5 coupe drives, it's still a very fun little ride.

I was averaging 24.9 mpg for the longest time in my V6 6-Spd, but recently that's been dropping; I've been stuck in heavier traffic the last couple of weeks, and then when it does open up I'm running 90 mph out of frustration...

Every freeway on ramp, that doesn't have a slow car in front of me, sees redline or close to it. But unless I have a reason to, like screwing with another car, I shift around 3500 - 4000 on the streets and even freeways.

r u guys/gals who are getting 25+ MPG using Regular of Premium fuel????

I'm using Regular and I get like 19 MPG, and I drive pretty casually. I'm wondering if maybe the MPG improves along w/ the fuel, due to how the engine (v6 in mine) is built?.?.?

thx!

i actually did a comparison on this, on a recent trip to kentucky on the way down with high grade fuel (93) i averaged 28MPG ( according to the on board MPG read out) on the way back i used low grade (87) and averaged 26MPG. so is 2mpg worth the extra 20cents per gallon . on a 300 mile drive with the high grade i burned 10.714 gallons at a cost of $44.89, on the way back i burned 11.538 gallons at a cost of $46.03, So actually yeah its better to be running that high grade.
