Hellojust a quik note, I have found that nissan is going to have a saftey recall starting in Nov. on the filler pipe in the northeast due to salt eating the pipe. Please check the NHSA for details. Mine is at the dealer due to major gas leak now $460, which i have to pay and get later from Nissan. The dealer did not know anything about it. I had to fax them info on it. Nissan customer service did'nt even know so they open a claim file for me. DO NOT FILL THE TANK all the way until you check this out. I did a search on line before i replaced mine and found out about the recall. If this has been discussed i'm sorry... did a search before hand and did not find anything.joenh

I personally haven't heard about this -- thanks for posting, and welcome to NICO!

I got a letter in the mail from nissan about this for my pathfinder. I hope that they cover it on my 1998 qx4 also .

Whoa I got it too... So my local Nissan dealer is a raging turd, the next closest is an actual Infiniti dealer (Indianapolis) sucks balls... there's one south of Indy (Infiniti) that's good, so I'll have to make the hour and 20 min drive down there to fulfill this recall.

I called Nissan when I bought my Pathy a few weeks ago to check for recalls. This was the only one. Even in Ca. they opened a file and suggested I take it to a dealer to get it fixed, under warranty!. Haven't had a chance yet, but plan on doing it in the next few weeks.

I just got my pathfiner fixed today...I hate stealerships they gave me a 3500 quote on **** i just fixed over the summer. Its Amazing there is no way they even looked at the car. So the nissan dealer wouldnt take care of your infiniti? They wouldnt even look up to see if there was a recall on my qx4. Now we both have to deal with dryer and reinbold...great. I would probally drive 1 hour away to a different dealership then to these. Dryer are full of idiots. I hope they fix the recall for you and dont be suprised if you have a bill for something you never authorized. I worked at a shop a block away from the dryer infiniti in greenwood and we would have bmw customers coming saying they wanted them to check their brakes but got a full brake job instead. Go in for a oil change and come out with a 1800 dollar bill. What year is your qx4?
