Hey all - not exactly relevant to this forum, but I received a notice of recall today about my 2005 Altima S. The electronic control module (engine computer) needs to be reprogrammed by Nissan. Car owners have been experiencing their car shutting off on its own while being driven - this HAS happened to me twice, both times within 3 days and it was about 6 months ago that this occurred. If you haven't experienced this and already had it fixed or received your recall notice yet, expect to see it soon. If you do NOT receive a notice and you are currently driving a 2002, 2005, or 2006 4 cylinder Altima, I would consult with your local Nissan dealership about details surrounding this issue.

When my car shut off, I was going about 85 mph on the Garden State Parkway in the fast lane - it was NOT a fun experience, although the car did turn back on after about 10 seconds.
