Have any members on this forum, DONE THEIR OWN INSPECTION? A very detailed info package was displayed with pictures. Even if you cannot comprehend written language the pictures are detailed, self explanatory.
The main problem concerning repairs is rusted out fenders down to the lowest point of still being a fender, but that point is critical for body strength integrity. With rusted out spot welds lined up from top to bottom and the very bottom rusted out and the spot weld non existent, that R50 is considered crap.
So look for tell tale signs like a rusted fender as described, the steering shaft becomes a part of the body when it has rusted too far.
A look see on your part and effort will clue you into the condition of your car before Nissan takes a peek at it.
If you find that your vehicle is crapped out, you should have more time to arrange things like maybe dismantling parts before giving Nissan the look and authorizing them to remove your vehicle. They become the authority by virtue of you allowing then a look at the vehicle.
After all it's their recall but it's your vehicle. And if you are not rust proofing these rust buckets what do you really think Nissan is going to do? Something for nothing...not likely!
