I have finally managed to get my S-13 running but when im driving the car it has a little prob gettin' up, it bogs in RPM's a little and also, when I turn the car off, the coolent overflow tank starts to make boiling sounds and when I turn the key to the ACC position it shows that the car is over heating, but before I turned the car off it shows it at normal operating temp . I have been through some of the searches but my computer SUCKS! If any one could help it would be greatly apperciated

probably the cts telling the ecu it's way too hot and your coolant issue could be from a stuck thermo.

I put in a new thermostat and bled the coolent system and then went for test drive when I got back to the house I popped the hood and the exhaust manifold was glowing. It seems that the motor is getting hot when the coolent isnt .Some one told me that the exhaust or cat.converter could be clogged but it doesnt seem to have any restrictions how could I test that theory?I have also checked the timing but its set to the book.Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Possibly a collapsed hose and or a bad water pump. To finish off the coolant parts replacement, buy a new radiator cap and cts as well. If your wiring has been modified or rigged , I'd recommend a complete diagnostics on the wiring or a external temp gauge for accuracy.

I have checked the coolent hoses, water pumpand coolent flow all seem good.I decided to try an O2 sensor thinking that mabye it was sending false info to the E.C.U that helped the sluggish engine response a little but the car is still overheating .....Anyone wanna buy a 89 with fresh engine with a little temp problem????LOL
