Yup, I dropped them off at UPS tonight. I would guess that they won't actually start moving until Monday, but you should have them by the middle or late next week.davidricardo86 wrote:Wow those look a hell of a lot better than what mine looked like before. Hey Ryan i got a tracking number in email so i assume they're done and will be arriving soon? I was going to ask you what was going on with the lifters but it looks like they're done.
The orifices on the lifters are very small and prone to varnish/gumming up. The reduced oil flow can cause all kinds of problem. They can range from ticking on start up, ticking all the time, and if it gets bad enough, it can completely collapse and possibly cause damage to that cam lobe due to lack of lubrication.RalliartRsX wrote:Hmmm, not very versed on lifters. Can somebody explain the significance of these rebuilt pieces??
I'm sure glad to hear this! Rebuilt lifters on my new engine. Sweet! Hey guess what?! Im starting to think about not upgrading the camshafts and just use stock valvetrain with small overlap and run easy with an sr t25 for starters. I could learn on that for awhile and later upgrade some more. I really want to just start driving it after the winter. Sports tires, 1.5 limited slip, adj. suspension, heavy duty clutch, and a lightweight flywheel (that came with the set) are some of the things i had in mind. I want to be able to keep up with my bro's h22 ek on high speeds and corners!float_6969 wrote: Yup, I dropped them off at UPS tonight. Dash that link had some good useful information! Thanks! I'll use a lot of the stuff that was in there like priming.dash wrote:interesting lifter info here. Seems like there are 4? types.http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/show...fters
Thanks! Probably cheaper in the states.float_6969 wrote:Mike, I'll ask them if they can do anything like that...
