is it always a bad idea to buy rebuilt injectors, there are no services that sell good ones.

Because you really cannot rebuild injectors, they are selling used cleaned up junk yard take outs or quality control manufacturing rejects.

Sure they quick and dirty test them or at least sample test some of them .

My friend got reman'd injectors from here http://www.suncarb.com/Automobile.html

They were super clean and looked practically new. they were only $25 each with a $10 per core deposit. much better than the $119 each the dealer wanted or $99 the local autostores wanted. They did stop the car from smoking so they were definately better than the old ones. I'm no mechanic, but they if you are short on funds I think Suncarb is worth a shot.

For what it takes to remove the plenum on a G50 VH45DE, it is penny wise and pound foolish not to install OEM injectors.

Amen to that... I installed one reman, then had another one die two weeks later. Got ticked off and replaced the remaining 7 with remans and then had the bleed-down flooding issues. So I got to do the plenum job a third time to install all new OEM injectors and knock sensors.

Trust me - I did a super job that third time... I didn't want to have to pull the "damn spider" again.

Heath - What kind of deal did you get on the injectors and knock sensor? Just feeling my way around for a ball park figure so I can start saving for the repair...

If I remember correctly, the injectors are about $140 each including the o-ring from Joe at http://www.everythinginfiniti.com

Wes sells the knock sensors for substantially less than OEM, so you may want to buy them from him, and just order a new harness and all new hoses with your injectors...
