Hi all,

Does anyone know of a company selling remanufactured axle assemblies for the G35 - I have a 2006 G35X Sedan, Auto. I need the front passenger/right assembly. None of my parts searches online turned this up. I've tried 3 different garages who can't locate the part either (aside for the OEM part, which cost over $500.-$700) Buying rebuilt axles used to be a very easy thing to do, so I'm a bit perplexed here. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I don't know of anyone selling reman axles. Try and find a wrecked G that is being parted out or bite the bullet and get a new one.

Digging through old posts here, but I ordered my front right shaft from http://www.infinitipartscenter.net/part ... XLE%20ASSY for about $519.00, including the shipping, and had it in 2 business days.

Heh - Not exactly. I thought the clicking was coming from the inner joint, but it's coming from within the carrier. So under 3mph or so there is still a click. No noise at other times. New axle works great though...

When you removed your axle, did it have a clip on the end where it inserted and locked into the front differential? My old front right axle came out and did not have a clip on it, and the OEM axle I installed did not come with a clip.

Same exact scenario as you, Munkle. Though, I don't see any clip in the parts diagrams either.

Yep, thanks stops. I did talk to an Infinitit "master tech" who told me how to put the axle back into the diff once the clip was installed - told me the trick was to rotate back and forth the opposite axle's tire while pushing the new clipped axle in.

Who knows, he could've been BSing me just for fun!

And you're definitely correct about the FSM and diagrams not showing a clip - I nearly went blind reading the front and rear axles' sections all the way through looking for any mention of a circlip for the diff-end shaft.
