So I payed this guy 1900 dallors to rebuild my engine( ka24de) and 800 miles later its ****ed up again. Turns out my crank shaft is broken, I wasn't sweatin it though because he said that it has a 1 year warranty. All though when I take it in he tells me 2 weeks later that if I want it fixed its going to cost me because he didn't work on the bottom end.

This is what he had too work on when it broke down in the first place. I think it was the pistons in 2 and 4 that were cracked, also the rod in cylinder 2 was bent. So is this true that he didn't even have too touch the crank shaft, and if it isn't should he still have too rebuild my engine any ways?

if he had pistons and rods serviced/replaced, he would have had to drop the crank out. And should have checked the crank journals, bearings, and deck, etc, while he had it out.
