hey, I am almost done rebilding my ka and will be installing it this week end. I plan to get it started and set the dist, timing bring it to full temp, and then flush all the oil out and change the filter. are there any other orecautions that I should do? also how should I drive my car right after a rebuild? and what oil should I use? also I dont think this will be a problem but how can I tell if I do not have oil pressure? thanks

This is a good link on how to break in an engine:

http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

As far as what oil to use, use any non-synthetic oil (synthetic oils dont let the rings seat properly), and you have oil pressure as long as the oil light is off (it should turn off 1-4seconds after you start your car).

Hope this helps.
