Greetings Nico Forum and 240 Fans

I own a 1990 240sx I have been restoring. The 240sx was restored to near stock parts. I took a lot of liberty on the stereo and lights. There is no frame, or body damage. No bondo on the car. And less than 88,000 miles on the original engine. However I was in an accident that nearly removed the passenger side front tire. Damage done was: I bent MacPherson strut, a snapped stabilizer, and a bent transverse link with ball joint. So I am replacing all three sections currently.

However what I am in the forum to discuss is that since I have to replace this all anyway what would be good performance upgrades? So I am looking for suggested upgrades to the following:

I was thinking of taking this time to change from four bolt wheels to five, what would be the best way to do this?

The actual wheels I am looking at are: 16” 215/40-16 OR Should I be going with 17X7?

What are quality brake systems that can be upgraded to the car?

What are some good choices for Struts?

Are there any other safety features on the tires, brakes, and suspension I should be looking into?

Any suggestions, stories, or ideas anyone can offer would mean a lot. Thanks for any tips you have.

Mr. F 240sx

most of your questions can be answered by searching. id upgrade to coilovers if you are gonna get new strut/s. youre gonna want to go wider than 17x7 as well, somewhere 8"+ width. you could also put poly bushings in the stabalizer when you put it back in.
