rebuilding sr and having afew issues

i have a s14 sr, when i line up the crankshaft and cams and install the chain to all the correct timing marks just as the fsm stated and all the other useful info on here. now heres my problem after i install my chain tensioner and release the hook to set tension, i rotate the crank and once i make i think 4 revolutions the timing on the crank will be off one tooth then when i go afew more it will be off 2 then 3 and so on am i doing somthing wrong or what thanks

If you're talking about the bright links in the chain, don't worry about it. As long as the marks on the sprockets are alighned correctly, you'll be fine.

within a couple revolutions they will line up again...don't worry you are all right as long as you started off correctly

ya i thought about it alittle and i think i got frustrated alittle too quickly haha
