Rebuilding JIC FLA-A1

I have a set of FLA-A1 that needs to be rebuilt if possible. I talked to JIC USA and they said, that they arnt rebuildable, that i have to buy new dampers. Well Each damper is $240 thats and like a $1000 i dont have. Someone told me that you can have them rebuilt at a motorcycle shop, which is hard to believe, but has anyone else heard of that. or any alternative routes i can take.

JIC is probobly correct. some coilovers work like that, you have to replace the damper when they wear out.
