Ok well after a compression test my 3rd cylinder is a little low. As far as rod and main bearings would oem be ok. Or is there any other ones that are better. Same for rings, is oem ok ? I was doing some research on head gaskets and has anyone heard about the five R copper head gasket ? I was also just thinkin about the felpro or cometic. I read not to long ago a guy had a problem with a cometic so I'm not to sure about them. I just need some opinions on what you think will hold up. My setup is : GTI-R t28 , z32 maf , safc2, 450cc inj, FMIC , . Im currently waiting on my chip from Rafi. I want to be able to run 15psi , I know I will need to upgrade injectors for that. I just need to know if the oem bearings, rings and head gasket will hold up, so I wont have to do this again. thanks

the earings and rings from nissan would be fine.if you are notgoing to resurface your head and block no need in getting a metal head gasket.just use a oem and spray it woth the copper head gasket spray.

If the highest you're boosting is 15psi, the oem headgasket will be sufficient. Dee had a video out sometime ago showing how much a stock HG could take.

People have problems with cometic bc they don't take the time to have the head resurfaced. Cometics need a almost perfectly flat surface in order to seal properly.

With the rings, if you're ordering forged pistons from Race Engineering, it'd just be easier to get the rings from them too. They're not too expensive and I believe they stock the rings as well.

OEM main and rod bearings are good. I think that's what most people here use anyway.

Actually, you HAVE to buy the rings that are made specifically for the CP pistons they sell. They are thinner than the OEM rings.

Good to know...I didn't think there would be any size differences between oem rings and the RaceEng rings.

450cc's aren't adequate for 15psi?
