Today I torn down my engine, it had a bad rod bearing and some broken chain guides It also looks like the valve seals is leaking

Did it ruin the crank?

Can those caps be cut and re-ground, or do you have to get oversized bearings?

Keep the photos coming! If you ahve a macro setting or close-up setting on the camer, it will help with those up-close shots.

The crank is of by 0.10, that means it has to be grinded (is that the correct word?) and i need a 0.25 oversize bearing. The rest just need a poliching and it will be fine.

It's not my cam, and the owner told me there was only auto settings.. (It's a 100$ cam)'

Sorry about the bad English...

Did anyone else view the movie in his sig?

Is this another VH45 powered Z32?

Camera is focusing on the things in the back ground, try pulling back a bit.

No, its just a 400hp VG30DETT, the same as the one behind the engine on the pic above.

Ok thx, I'll try that.

The intake valves are 38mm Exhaust valves 33mm

Lift in. = 9mmLift ex. = 9mm (if the lifter ratio is the same)Thats ok.

Ex. port is ok, but the in. port in the head and the lower part of the plenum is only about 26mm!! It should be more like 30mm.

It looks like the rods are forged, do anyone know for sure??

This engine has about 140 000 miles on it, take a look between the first and second ring. Almost clean = minimal leaks = good condition on the rings It had about 0.5mm end gap clearance (wear limit 1.0)0.5 is perfekt for turbo
