I m going to rebuild the ka24de. I am wondering is there any racing piston rings for the original pistons? I ll race this car, and i ll rev it high, so i want sth reliable. Are the oem gd enough?

another question, is putting a performance cam lot of work? a shop is rebuilding for me, but they only do stock things, so i hope replacing the performance cam is not too much work.

ps. mine is 91 240sx, w/ a stock ka24de

let me get this straigt. your rebuilding your engine, and using stock pistons. but at the same time you have plans for racing and high RPM?

pison rings are the least of your concerns.

and performance cams are the same to install as stock cams.

sorry for the confusion. Yes I m rebuilding the engine, actualyl doing the valve job, timing chain, the head...

i m planning to race at high rpm, could u give me some suggestions what to do? thanks

i m concering about the piston rings, coz i m burning oil now, n the mechanic told me that worn rings are caused by rev it high.

about the perfromance cams, i looked up in the ww.pdm-racing.com and says that i need new shims. N i wont know until opened the engine. i m asking a shop to do the job for me, n they wont allow me to order the parts after they check the correct shims, coz take too much time.
