i read somewhere that an automatic transmission for nissan 240's could be rebuilt to shift as if were manually shifted. i was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.

uh i know how to drive the manual i am just weighing my options. my theory is i would get the fuel economy of the manual, maybe not all of it but most of it. i now have this question and now i need to find out. its a personal thing

eh manual transmissions are a very confusing piece of technology. i have learned when it comes to knowing when and how to shift is an art especially without using the clutch. i didn't think that was possible but it is and is awesome. Thanks though for your sarcasms

i think there is a company who makes manual transmissions where you dont have to use the clutch, except on first gear.

I heard that if you remove 1 or 2 of the clutch plates in each auto gear it'll kick harder like a manual shifting feeling...

i read that you can change out the shift solenoids and wire up some vette ones... they shift hard when needed but still keep the soft shifts for slower acceleration.
