Has anyone here done this or know anyone that does? The impression I get from people is that rebuilding a basic motor like a Chevy V8 doesn't really take anything more than time and basic knowledge. I would just like to know more about this and any drawbacks it could have...I'm just young and don't have a job right now so i'm trying to think of things that could be done.

i was jsut thinkin about doin it with KA's. i jsut bought an engine stand today and i was thinkin how i could put it to good use. rebuild kits for ka's with the timing chain can be had for like $700 then sell it for like $1200. it would take like a month with my kinda of schedule but would be good experince and some extra money
