I am adam I got this 91 240sx Le automatic an it had a tick in the head so i took out motor, took head to shop an had cracked cam an warped head. And i thought i might as well take whole damn motor out an put new barrings in bottom end. And i came to a stand still between getin forge conecting rods an pistens. but if i get forge pistens should i get motor bored out. I just want a soled running car about 300whp or lil more. And i know car is not worth all that much do to automatic hit me up

you need to send the block off the a shop and have them mic it out and see if it needs to be bored over or not, then you can go from there on what size pistons you'll need. the auto transmission will and can hold 300hp with no problem just get a good transmission cooler and you'll be fine.

thats all i do is search. i put piston rings in an Bearings front an rear transmission seals an filter hand cleaned hole motor panted it. timing chains timing guide heads reseated to motor valve seats reseated cap rotor bigger spark plug wire ,spark plugs 2 row aluminum radiator an reservoir 2 pull fans cold air filter so it don't water lock transmission cooler. thats all an other dumb s*** but i got it finally started an reved at 2k rpm for 3 min taped on gas real soft to see whats up droped to 1500 rpm lightly taped agen an it staled cheacked every bolt wire ground ecu fuse traced ever vacuum hose everything timed wen car was cranking of of top dead center it sparks 20'btdc an i have no idea

i read everthing i can i feal like i know this motor in an out thanks for all the help baby next time i nead help i just do it on my own like i did this whole rebuild thanks agen for all the help dont expect me to leave any coments or posts. this is my first rebuild an did all myself miked it all out cheaced bearing clearences did everything myself an rewired whole motor cus sum dumb a** dident know what thay doin took me 16 months for this rebuild an still no help thanks alot. an to guy that just came on my post just to critisize thanks for ur nothin but to tell me i fuced up motor as if u knew what i did thanks i know i cant spell im a 23 year old grad from high school all i wanted to know if anyone can help me.........sorry for spellin dont say s*** about spellin!!!!

its annoying. learn to spell! this is a technical forum, not a "guess what im saying" forum. plain and simple you need to fix what you are writing even if it takes an extra 5 minutes.

i have no idea what you are trying to ask. i tried reading the whole thing. from what it looks like, you wanted to know if forged internals were a good idea. then you went ahead with the rebuild, did everything right, then it wont start. then it sounds like you figured it out in the wiring but still complain that nobody is helping you. im completely lost...

what are you asking?

listen I am a high school drop out, who barely passed the GED(before it was a 10th grade level).

It is not hard, if you are on this forum and want help, help yourself and type with more clarity. The people in this specific forum are generally very nice and will ignore rather than bash your short comings.

However with that said you must be more clear and the guys on this forum will be more than willing to help.

Trust me when I say this, "you will not find a better group of guys on any topic or on any forum". I came here with little to no knowledge of 240's and probably have asked more than my fair share of dump noob questions. I have received help on everything I have ever asked, and I have never been all out bashed even for dumb questions. If you didn't receive the information and the help you were looking for than maybe you didn't ask the right questions. There is a wealth of information in this KAT section, maybe even more than on other sites dedicated to this subject. Making hatefull posts is absolutely not the key to unlocking it. It's really simple: Ask clear and specific questions, get clear and specific answers. Doing something new is always frustrating but taking it out on the people who are able to help is not going to get you anywhere.

by bad i have LD in english an cant spell but thats not the point an i never did this b4 an i dident use nothin but torque specs. i aint got a big head ive ben doin this car for 16 months an pissed it aint dun yet thats all my bad for attude...
