A lot of us are still considering options. PIEZ said he is looking for around 200 HP also. Read some of the posts to find out more.

vg30/33 with a xterra supercharger. z31 turbo setup if your really mechanically inclined.

If not all I could see you doing is a good carb, a nice size exhaust to keep exhaust velocity up for scavenging. a good bit of headwork, portmatch everything. midrange rpm cam. good tune on the carb, slightly higher compression pistons, or a small block chevy?

And if i was doing this in a college automotive class I and only the teacher would work on it, I would not trust an engine to a bunch of students that probably havnt worked on cars outside of the classroom. I built my first engine 3 years ago in a shack with dirt floor and it still runs good today, but i knew what I was doing, somewhat.

yeah... i haven't updated my thread yet... but i'll be doing:

a MILD camstock head... shaved with port and polish... and a super thin headgasketalso thinking the sidedrafts carbs will be my best option

the reason the plans changed slightly is because i read in depth the rules for my autocross class

as far as pistons... high compression KA pistons will work
