I'd suggest making sure you're not blowing oil out of the turbo. You may have a bad seal in there. Don't know that it's necessary to o-ring the head, with a copper gasket o-ringing the block should be all you need.

See about getting your rods shot peened. How about improving your cams, either aftermarket or custom regrind, nothing too radical but with the extra displacement some extra lift/duration would work well.

There's so much more you can do, depends on your budget.

I'd bet it's a bad turbo seal. I don't see how blow by would make it all the way down to the intercooler. Unless you have the motor already torn down do a compression check.

sounds good so far but i agree with myetball, some cams and getting the rods shot peened would be a good idea. with all that extra displacement, some good cams would help make better use of it. do the rods while theyre out in case you decide to make lots more power and need a stronger bottom end. may want to get the whole thing balanced and blueprinted while youre at it, you know, just to seal the deal.

yea, I hate to tell you, but just because you had oil in your intercooler, doesn't mean your rings were bad. I have oil in my intercooler as we speak, but it's from the bad seals on my crappy stock T25 that I'm running w/no BOV, cuz I'm a broke azz mofo...

Well if they check the compression and said it was the rings, then they were probabaly right.
