listen man , what your gonna build all depends what its purpose is. you could have a nasty *** ka , but you may be scraficing drivability! depends what you want. lots duration , big overlap is only good if your gonna really need it. this is one of the biggest issuses that people run into cause they have no idea what those numbers mean. lata

^^properly built you can have big power and perfect driveability.

honestly if your rebuilding a engine with 200,000 miles you should probably replace all the timing chain components, and the oil pump. Depending on your power goals it may also be a good idea to get new con-rods.

I hope your runnig a standalone and are up grading you injectors, cause it sounds like your getting ready to put down 400hp or more. Not to burst you bubble, but nothing is bullet proof. It all depends on what you doing with it and who you keep up on the maintance. I just spun a rod bearing on a SR that has eagle rods, arias pistons, cams, and head work. It lasted about a year, but I drift at least once a month on track. You should check and see what a stock bottom can hold, cause its always cheaper to rebuild a stocker than a custom. Almost all your power would come out of your head tunning for the most part. You could also have the OEM rods shot peened and balanced instead of buying rods.

I think those crower rods are a bit overkill. excess mass and although they can take more abuse, not necessarily gonna be needed for that extra weight. I went with carillos and cp pistons. how are you planning to go about building more power, na or turbo? got your goals figured out yet?
