rebuild ?'s need help ran into problems

ok i am going back or rebuilding with standard parts. The machine shop miced the block and said it was ok and honed and all. I file fit my rings 1st and 2nd and installed them on the piston and have them facing the directions of the fsm but for some reason when i go to tap it in the top ring always pops out of the compressor. i have tried to push it down and everything but it just doesnt seem to work. The other ones go in but the top one gets hung. Can someone please help me please. Thanks!

are you useing the correct rings? what kind are they?

yeah they should be standard size. I forgot what brand I will have to run to the shop and look. Can someone please help because no one knows anything about rebuiding the bottom end I have found out. Everyone I ask says they cant help me there. Thanks!
