Thanks Matt. I got the manual for the S13 KA24DE engine (EM section). We are rebuilding a 1990 240sx. This is the correct engine type for that car, right? I havent had time to look at the boilerplate on the firewall:)

Nope. The engine in that car is a KA24E, not a DE.

Hmm. I have a shop manual for the KA240DE, but couldn't find it for the SOHC engine. Do you know where I could download it for this engine? I assume the enigine diagrams will be drastically different...

Yeah, the engines are fairly different. I'd imagine (disclaimer: this is just a guess) the torque specs are similar between the two, but don't hold me to that.

No idea where you could download the FSM for the KA24E. Does a haynes/chiltons have a section on engine internals? If not you may need to find the actual printed nissan FSM...check the dealer or ebay.

bud, if you're in south jersey, i'll loan u the FSM; i can't find the huge fold-out page of the whole electrical schematics, but otherwise a complete book. Lemme know if no one answers your other thread in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm relocating to bordentown area; so I can drive as far as trenton
