rebuild or new engine

i was hoping to turbo my 240 (see: supra turbo) evn though the supra turbo may not work, i still think this is what i want ot do. the car i have right now has 170 000 km on it, or around 100 000 miles on it. i have called some shops and they have offered to rebuild my engine for 1000 canadian. should i do this or just by a new engine?

It depends can you afford to buy another engine? It would be better because then you could still use your 240 as a daily driver and completly build up the engine then just drop it in. That is what I would do.....
