i have a 1990 240sx with 160,00 miles. i finally got my mom to sell me the car after 15 years. thers no rust on car and i'm ready to drop a few grand into it. it has a sohc and i dont know if i should just rebuild this engine & add a turbo or swap it for a dohc & add turbo. i only have about $3,000 to play with & i can't afford an sr20. so if theres anyone out there with some good advice, please help me make up my mind!

Personally I would rebuild the sohc, that way you could spend more $$ on the turbo, and tuning. Thats what i'd do...if i had $3000...and no pregnant wife.

i rebuilt mine and couldnt be happier, its funny all my friends b**** about my sohc but its ok its just as good or better than their near stock dual cams. if you do rebuild it you will soon learn to despise the dual cammers.....just kidding all friends here.
