So after my compression came back 50 on 3 cylinders, I'm planning out my rebuild. I'm also probably going to rebuild the turbos but am not sure yet. Here's what I have so far.

Engine Gasket Kit- $255 from ebay, or $386 with metal headgaskets from CZP... opinions?
Eagle Rods- $548 CZP
Piston Ring Set - $173 CZP, or $70 from RockAuto
Polyurethane motor mounts- $150 ebay
Plevite Rod Bearings- $50 from CZP
Plevite Main Bearings- $50 from CZP
OEM Oil Pump- $167 CZP
EFI Harness- $395 CZP

Feel free to add anything I am missing, or let me know of where to get something cheaper. Thanks ahead of time.

why would you get new rods? the stock rods are very strong, and are forged.
i'd replace the pistons first.
also, polyurethane motor mounts aren't that great, stick with stock oem or bde ones.
ipp over czp, czp has a questionable history.

i think you have that backwords, the rods are the weak point on the motor... they are not forged, everything else is.. thats the only reason i am replacing them.. and what is IPP? import parts pro or something? i always buy CZP or Z1

the rods are forged, the pistons are cast.
ipp along with specialtyz have the best reputations, coz and z1 have the most questionable.

coz had fake fuel rails that he sold as genuine ones.
z1 sells fake parts as well.

Don't forget machine shop costs too. As far as rods vs pistons, I'd definitely replace the pistons and leave the rods. If your cylinders are too far out of round (mine were @ 91k), you will need a bore and new pistons anyways.

I would go with OEM bearings. I think you mean Clevite, and they are a great brand also - it's mostly preference.

You will most likely need to replace the PCV hoses because they crumble and tear easily during disassemby. Heater hoses are easy to reach with the engine out, and they aren't that expensive. I'd replace both with new OEM or silicone hoses. The silicone ones from Z1 have worked great for me.

I'd delete the EGR if you can. Make sure you can pass emissions inspection before you do it.

How old are your timing belt components? I'd recommend a 120k kit just to keep it fresh.

When I rebuilt mine I used a Beck Arnley gasket kit from RockAuto. It was closeout so it was dirt cheap too, like $130 I think. I wouldn't use a metal head gasket.
