rebuild for conservative boost

Sorry if this has been discussed before, I just get too much to sift through when searching.

I am looking to rebuild my spare KA24e in order to boost to the 200-250hp range. Looking for an ebay turbo kit (missed a few good opportunities already), or rebuild/salvaged setup. Inexpensive, but not cheap stuff.

The Topline rebuild kits I have heard bad things about, so I was planning on building piece by piece. Unless someone knows of a good performance kit for $1000ish.

I will Keep the oem rods...but interested in better than oem pistons. I am thinking Arias+Wisco pistons are overkill at $450-500, and was wondering if there was something recommended for my conservative goals. I know OEM are good up to +-300hp, but I just wanna play it safe.
